Regular Service and Alignment Checks
A great way to optimise your machine's performance is through regular servicing and alignment checks. Siemens 828D and 840D controls have the in-built functionality to carry out circulatory testing and drive tuning, which allows the user to check and tune and prevent mismatches between interpolation axis. It will also indicate backlash spikes, which can be tuned out via parameters.
We are able to check and tune Siemens 810D, 802D and 611 Universal drives too; however, this needs to be done with a Simatic Field PG as there isn't the inbuilt functionality with them.

It was a bit of a challenge, but a satisfying job. I had to dig deep into the PLC to find the option bits to allow it to run!
