Faulty Output Module
Our customer was experiencing intermittent PLC stop issues that were hindering production. Unfortunately, the HMI alarm page on Siemens 840D and 810D didn't give enough information for engineers to correctly diagnose the root cause of PLC stop issues. This is a common complaint that can be hard to diagnose without the right equipment.
Using S7 software and our Simatic Field PG, we were able to view the diagnostic buffer and identify a faulty output module. Once we replaced the module, the issue was resolved.
