Machine 1 - XYZ Minimill 560 VMC CNC Machining centre
Traverses X 560 mm x Y 400 mm x Z 500mm
Table size 610mm x 370mm. Maximum spindle speed 8000 rpm. 12 tool station.
Auto-feed swarf conveyor plus swarf bin.
The main coolant system includes tank, main pump and flush pump. All working perfectly.
The alignments are all spot on. It has never had any collisions.
The spindle runs up beautifully without any adverse noises, etc.
It is a 2006 model year with the XYZ CNC-7 control and Yaskawa drives.
This machine has only ever cut small batches of aluminium components. It has done very light work and has been regularly serviced and maintained by XYZ.

X2 boxes of tooling. Additional Crawford Chuck. Multiple sets of jaws.
Tooling trolley and colletts.
The machine will be fully serviced, full alignments carried out.

This XYZ 1060HS VMC had ground to a halt with multiple X-axis drive alarms.
We lent the customer an LT module and regulator card to fit, as this was believed to be the source of the faults.

A fault we see regularly on Siemens 828D and 840DSL systems is multiple drive errors, including cyclic data transfer alarms and over-temperature alarms.
The common cause of these alarms is the SMI module failure on one of the servo motors.
